Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our cathedral town strolls and Cashel Rock experiences
Our cathedral town strolls typically cover 2–3 miles at a leisurely pace, with plenty of stops to rest, explore, and chat about the history. We're not racing—we're designed so you can enjoy the sights without feeling rushed. Most walks take 2–3 hours including breaks.
April through October offers the most pleasant weather, though May and September are particularly lovely—warm enough to enjoy the views, but not so hot that the walking feels strenuous. Winter walks are quieter and dramatic, but paths can be muddy and daylight is limited.
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are all you need—no technical hiking required. Our paths are designed for mature walkers; most are on established town streets and well-maintained heritage trails. We adjust pace to the group, so there's no pressure to keep up.
Yes. We route our walks through the town centres, so you'll find cafés, restaurants, and facilities throughout. We build in breaks specifically so you can grab a cup of tea or coffee and sit down for a proper rest.
None at all. Our guides share stories and context as you walk, whether you're visiting for the first time or the fiftieth. We pitch the history so it's engaging without being overwhelming—think storytelling, not a lecture.
Absolutely. While we design these walks specifically for retired travellers and mature walkers, partners, adult family members, and anyone who enjoys a relaxed pace are always welcome. Just let us know when you book.
